As we celebrate National Apprenticeship week, we want to introduce you to our newest apprentice Jack Lee and find out a little more about him.
Jack, could you offer a little insight into how you started your journey at Analox?
I started with Analox in the middle of November after searching for a similar job for a number of weeks beforehand. After a couple of interviews with my now colleagues they were willing to take a chance on me and I could not have been happier.
What does your role involve?
My role with Analox is accounts apprentice, which includes a number of jobs from bank payment to posting invoices.
What do you enjoy the most?
In my role, even though I am still only an apprentice, I really enjoy the amount of responsibility and independence I have been given.
And for the future, what do you want to achieve?
In the future I would like to complete my apprenticeship and then begin to educate myself in the accounts department with aims of one day becoming a finance director.
What advice would you offer to those thinking about an apprenticeship?
I would personally say go for it! I think the best way to learn is to be exposed to the reality of what the job entails. Spending 5 days a week in a classroom can only teach you so much, but the experience of actually being in the job is unquestionably better in my opinion.
Since this interview Jack has gone from strength to strength, passing his Level 2 AAT exam in 2022 and being promoted from our Assistant Account to our Management Accountant in 2023!
